Rainforest Refugee Camp
Rainforest Refugee Camp (RRC) is a relief station where over heated Participants from lands graced with lower temperatures and higher humidity can seek Refuge and ask for asylum from the harsh treatment they are enduring on the Playa. The entrance of the RRC has an overhead misting system giving the appearance Chac (Mayan God of Rain) or a big female eye.  is crying over the loss of his homeland of rain soaked forests and mist covered lakes and streams. .  Passports or bodies  will be stamped with our blessings.

Fire protection
There are no fire pits, no art burning, no Tiki torches.  Fire protection = 50 gal of water with a 60psi
battery powered pump range 15 feet from end of hose.  RRC has the equiviant of internal fire protection sprinkler system...with the rain making / mist system.   RRC for the most part is a large swamp cooler.  in addition there is a portable 2 gal water handpump to put out small spot fires.

Leave no trace plans..  There are eight 4" holes need to stabilize the structure  the soil removed will be stored in tarps along side the tent.  after the tent is removed the holes will be refilled tamped and watered to fuse back  the divots into the playa.  14 rebar anchors will be pulled and those holes repacked and watered.  Any spots where cars or trucks are parked will be check for oil or fluids leaks and those soils removed and sacked.  any left over playa dirt will be used to fill these spots and watered.

Misting systems are designed to be used over areas that have cardboard laid down first and then carpet laid over the top.. so no water collection will form in the playa surface.  Hygiene water will be collected and dumped in portalets.   our internal wood structures are made of PNW Cedar that burns clean hot and fast. these timbers are part of the Seattle *SEABURN  community fire scheduled for Sunday night.   We anticipate having an empty utility trailer to aid in the carbon removal of the SEABURN community fire.  in short  RRC will be removing more carbon than it is packing in.
